Eric was born in Jersey City, New Jersey and while growing up was very active in the arts: writing and drawing.

He actually wanted to be an actor during culinary school and was even selected to join the prestigious Lee Strasberg Acting Institute, which he attended during the evenings.  Eric worked as a cook, server, bellman, and doorman while struggling as an actor in New York while in school.

But he soon realized that his greatest talent was in sales and showmanship. Soon after graduating, he began studying the art & science of compelling copy through the all-time great copywriters of the past century: from John Caples to Claude Hopkins, Robert Collier, Gene Schwartz, Joe Sugarman, Drayton Bird, Gary Halbert, Clayton Makepeace, Herschel Gordon-Lewis, Bill Jayme, Gary Bencivenga, Richard Armstrong and many more.

After developing a customer base, he started writing high-performance direct response copy for dozens of smart direct marketers, both large and small, who want to get more leads and sales – online and offline – throughout his serving years, with an off-broadway or short film acting job here and there.

Breakthrough Moment

It wasn’t until 1999, when Eric continued his acting education in the Meisner technique, meeting fellow student, Zoe Saldana, of James Cameron’s “Avatar” fame that helped him understand his place in the high profile Film, TV and Show Business circle. Eric wanted to write stories rather than play in them.

Today

Eric has penned a television concept and pilot episode. Plus six (1-hour) follow-up episodes and two full-length feature films, which are filled with suspense, laughter, violence, hope, heart, nudity, sex, and the occasional – happy ending.

And when not on the road conducting workshops, training, and coaching, he’s dealing with studio heads, and decision-makers, to tell his stories.

The process of writing is harmonious for Eric. It’s electric. And he gets fired up the moment he sits down at the desk and starts writing about hospitality, sales, and his favorite Film and TV genre – which is drama.

If you have a story you are eager to tell the world but are having trouble getting down on paper, and would like Eric to write it for you – in your unique voice – get in touch.
